Frequently Asked
Questions

Everything you need to know about StreamSlip

What is StreamSlip?

StreamSlip makes downloadable receipt-style summaries of your YouTube Music history and can turn a Shazam Library CSV into an unlisted YouTube playlist.

Is StreamSlip free to use?

Yes! StreamSlip is completely free to use. There are no hidden fees, subscriptions, or premium features.

How does StreamSlip access my music data?

Receipts use a Google Takeout watch-history.json file that is parsed locally in your browser. StreamSlip only uses Google OAuth when you explicitly ask it to create a YouTube playlist from Shazam tags.

Do you store my music data?

Your Takeout history file is not uploaded to StreamSlip. Shazam CSVs are also parsed locally; only the song and artist pairs selected for a playlist are sent to YouTube for matching.

Can I download my receipt?

Yes! You can download your receipt as a high-quality PNG image to share on social media or save for your records.

What time ranges are available?

Receipts can show the last month, the last six months, or all of the activity represented in your Takeout export.

How is this different from Spotify Wrapped?

StreamSlip is built around data you control: a Takeout export for receipts and a Shazam export for playlists.
