Google Account Information

When you connect your Google account, we collect:

Receipt data: Google Takeout history files are read and summarized in your browser. StreamSlip does not upload the selected history file to its server.
Playlist creation: If you choose to create a playlist from Shazam tags, StreamSlip uses an official YouTube OAuth connection only for that requested action.
Playlist authorization: Temporary Google OAuth session information needed to create the requested playlist.

Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with StreamSlip, including browser type, IP address, and access times for technical purposes.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Generate personalized music receipts locally from the history file you select
Authenticate your account and maintain your session
Improve and optimize our service
Provide customer support

Data Storage and Security

We take data security seriously:

We use HTTPS to encrypt data in transit
Session data is stored temporarily and expires after 24 hours
We do not store your generated receipts on our servers

Third-Party Services

StreamSlip integrates with the following third-party services:

Google OAuth & YouTube API: To create the unlisted playlist you request. Your use of Google services is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Render: Our hosting provider for backend services.
Vercel: Our hosting provider for frontend services.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Request deletion of your data by disconnecting your account
Revoke StreamSlip's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account settings
Opt out of using our service at any time

Data Retention

We retain your session data for 24 hours. When you log out or revoke access, your authentication tokens are immediately deleted from our servers. We do not permanently store your YouTube listening history.

Children's Privacy

StreamSlip is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of StreamSlip after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
